Harry Redknapp has given Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal hope of signing Richarlison by insisting Frank Lampard may have to sell the Brazilian this summer to raise funds and build a better Everton team.

Richarlison has been a mainstay at Goodison Park since his £50m move from Watford in 2018, making 152 appearances for Everton and scoring 53 goals.

The 25-year-old helped Lampard’s side avoid relegation to the Championship last season but is still expected to leave Merseyside in the coming weeks.

London rivals Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal have all expressed interest in signing Richarlison and Redknapp believes his nephew Lampard may be forced to sell.

Former Chelsea midfielder Lampard is keen to bolster his squad this summer but whether that is possible before any outgoings are confirmed remains to be seen.

Discussing Richarlison’s future at Everton, former manager Redknapp told talkSPORT: ‘He has got ability, there is no doubt about that.

‘He can drive you mad though at times when you see him diving about, and whatever he gets up to. He can certainly play, though, and scores, and he has managed to get assists.

‘But if Frank has no money to spend, he is going to have to sell. Sometimes you have to sell your best player to try and get two or three in.

‘He [Lampard] needs to strengthen that team. That team that Everton have got at the moment, they are going to struggle.

‘I am desperate for them [Everton] to do well, I kicked every ball with Frank this season, but I think they are going to be struggling again.’

Antonio Conte’s Spurs appear to be ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal in the queue to sign Richarlison but Teddy Sheringham isn’t convinced about the move.

The former Tottenham striker told Lord Ping: ‘I don’t think he’s what is needed now. Tottenham have got good attacking players; Kane, Son, Kulevski, Bergwijn is still there, Moura is still there.

‘We’ve got players in the Richarlison mould and I don’t think he would be a statement signing that would get teams worried. If they were to sign him what would the result be?

‘You need players that are going to take you to the next level and I don’t think Richarlison is one of them. I don’t think he’s the ideal man to make a statement for Tottenham.’
