Halsey was forced to leave the Grammy Awards early after falling unwell.

The Without Me singer arrived at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday looking chic as they posed on the red carpet.

It came just days after Halsey, 27, underwent surgery for their endometriosis and confirmed they would still be attending the awards ceremony.

However, not long after the show began, the musician updated their Instagram followers and revealed they’d already left.

Alongside a selfie of them wearing casual clothes having changed out of their red carpet look, Halsey wrote: ‘Not feeling super well so I left early. Had to see BTS tho. Going to get pasta and sleep. Thanks for everything luv u all.’

It’s no surprise that Halsey was keen to support BTS having collaborated with the group on the 2019 track Boy With Luv, and later shared a clip they filmed of their performance of Butter during the ceremony before they left.

Prior to the awards, Halsey did not disclose what surgery they had, but implied it related to their ongoing struggles with endometriosis – a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.

Taking to Instagram to share an update on their situation, the singer shared a photo of themselves in hospital attire and a surgical mask.

They wrote: ‘I walked the carpet with my stitches still in 😅 As luck would have it, I’m attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago.’

Halsey continued: ‘Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I’m fragile. Fragile but excited 🙂 🤍.’
