The Apprentice fans see Linda Plant brought in as one of the show’s four advisers to interview candidates – here’s everything you need to know about the woman herself.

Linda is one of four business experts who will be grilling the remaining candidates this evening.

Along with Claudine Collins, Mike Souter and Claude Littner, she will tear the final four’s business plans to shreds as they dig deeper into what the candidates are really about.

Linda is renowned for being the harshest interviewer, and can sometimes end up reducing her interviewees to tears.

She joined the crop of interviewers back in 2015, and is once again returning to give her verdict.

But who is Linda and how did she make her millions in business?

Who is Linda Plant?

Linda is a trusted friend and adviser to Lord Sugar, having known him for over two decades.

Her expertise lies in fashion, and she created knitwear brand Honeysuckle at the age of 15, leaving school at aged 16.

She sold the company for millions at aged 29 before later taking control of it some years later again.

The international fashion brand made her one of the first women to head a fashion company flotation on the London Stock Market.

She retired from the fashion industry some years ago but still keeps herself extremely busy with newer business ventures.

In addition to the Linda Plant Business Academy, she runs a property development and interior design businesses.

She is a panellist and judge for organisations including top female entrepreneurs for HSBC’s Panel of Forward Ladies and a Prince’s Trust Mentor.

Speaking about being an interviewer on The Apprentice, Linda previously told RadioTimes.com: ‘My role is to advise Lord Sugar and to make sure that his £250,000 is going to the best possible candidate. Therefore, my role is to be sure that that candidate has the right ethos.

‘I’m looking for any weaknesses. You have to be tough in business: firm but fair. You know, a people person. I’ll be digging to expose a weakness so that Lord Sugar doesn’t make a mistake.’

The Apprentice continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
