The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge has revealed she underwent surgery to remove a piece of eggshell from her ear.

TV presenter and musician Frankie, 33, had a rollercoaster of a time in the 2021 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which saw her rained on by bugs, trapped in a box of snakes, and generally be constantly covered in gunk.

The Loose Women panelist came in third in the latest series, missing out on the crown to Danny Miller, but it seems she didn’t come home empty-handed after all.

In a recent Instagram Q&A with her 1.5 million followers, Frankie revealed she underwent a procedure to remove a bit of eggshell from her ear-canal, left over from her time on the show.

As reported by the Daily Express, she admitted: ‘I don’t miss waiting to see what horrible thing was coming next.’

‘I actually had what we think was a bit of eggshell out of my ear last week that had embedded itself in my ear canal.’

The easygoing reality star joked that she sees the eggshell as ‘a badge of honour,’ and added: ‘Imagine explaining that to the doctor!’

She also revealed that she is still in touch with her I’m A Celeb campmates via a large group chat, and is hoping for a reunion soon as they all became very close in the camp.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘We had a once in a lifetime experience together and no time apart will ever change that.’

Elsewhere in the chat, Frankie, who is married to footballer Wayne Bridge, discussed family life and admitted she often thinks about having more children, though doesn’t feel ready at the minute.

The couple share sons Parker, eight and Carter, six, and the singer said she thinks about having another baby ‘most days’ and doesn’t feel ‘done’ with having children just yet.

‘I don’t feel done,’ she wrote in the candid chat as reported by Hello!.

‘But also the thought of being pregnant. Starting again. Being outnumbered.

‘I think if Wayne was desperate for another. I’d go for it,’ she revealed, ‘But he’s not.’

She added that she ‘likes the idea of a big gang of kids,’ but mostly when they’re older, as ‘this bit would be super hard’.

The singer found it difficult to be away from her young kids while competing on I’m A Celeb in Wales, and it’s clear they missed her, too.

In an interview with Metro.co.uk after leaving the camp, she revealed her husband was instructed by their children not to vote for her to stay in the competition, as they were missing her too much.
