Coleen Rooney dressed like she meant business as she headed to an event in Manchester to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The mother of four, 35, opened for a sharp grey suit with a black Prada bandeau top underneath, black bag and matching court shoes.

Coleen kept her hair loose with a fresh blow-dry after having been spotted at the gym earlier in the day, and kept her accessories simple with hooped earrings, a watch and her wedding rings.

She was heading to Menagerie to celebrate Julie Perry Events, a female led business which supports Emmeline’s Pantry, a foodbank run by women for women in need across Manchester.

Coleen, who is married to footballer Wayne Rooney, 36, was one of a host of Manchester United star wives and girlfriends at the event, including Lisa Carrick, Hayley Fletcher, Kaya Jones and Harry Maguire’s fiancée Fern Hawkins.

Guests were also treated to inspiring speeches from designer Nadine Merabi, who taught herself to sew using YouTube videos, and former X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson.

The appearance comes after Coleen and Wayne recently addressed the difficulties they had been through in their marriage in a documentary about the footballer.

Director Matt Smith told Metro.co.uk that the couple never shut down any questions he asked, but explained: ‘I think they were nervous, obviously, because they’re talking about this and everyone’s going to watch this film now.

‘The press is going to be a feeding frenzy… I think there was a nervousness, definitely.’

He added: ‘They’ve never spoken about this stuff publicly and everyone’s… Wayne and Coleen Rooney, everyone’s fascinated with them.

‘I think in the room there was probably a nervousness, but I try and put people at ease.’
