LAHORE: Punjab Planning and Development Board chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal chaired a meeting to review the pace of work on the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects, including roads, irrigation, agriculture, livestock, health, higher education, climate change and energy, a statement said.
The objective of the meeting was to review the progress of the ongoing and new schemes. The official directed the relevant authorities to ensure completion of projects within the stipulated timeframe. He also directed the immediate start of work on new projects.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved two development schemes worth Rs1.112 billion.
The approved development schemes included repair, rehabilitation, construction of 36.57km long road from Kasur Hujra Road to Mandi Basirpur Road at a cost of Rs481.779 million and the construction of 3.9km long approach road in Sheikhupura at the cost of Rs630.292 million.
