Richard Madeley missed Good Morning Britain today and was nowhere to be seen as rumoured I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! stars are going into isolation.

The line-up for the upcoming series of ITV reality show is yet to be officially confirmed, but the 65-year-old presenter is rumoured to be among the likes of Frankie Bridge, Adam Woodyatt, Simon Gregson and David Ginola.

His absence comes after he announced last week he was taking a break until after Christmas, with Martin Lewis stepping in alongside Susanna Reid for Monday’s edition.

Of course, this leaves a suspicious I’m A Celebrity-sized hole in his schedule, particularly with Snoochie Shy and DJ Locksmith – also rumoured to be taking part – giving fans a glimpse of the isolation digs this week.

The duo is said to be among the line-up heading to Gwyrch Castle in North Wales later this month, and the Radio 1Xtra host shared picture and a video of a mystery location.

She revealed she’s currently on her own, and posed in front of a painting of two donkeys, while another image saw her flaunt her new braids which are ‘down to my ars*hole’.

Meanwhile, Rudimental star DJ Locksmith is in a property with exposed brick walls, high ceilings and plenty of gym equipment to keep him entertained.

However, he played down any I’m A Celebrity connection, shooting down one fan who asked if he was in isolation for the show.

The producer replied: ‘No, just finding myself.’

According to reports, DJ Locksmith is currently a stand-by star for the series, meaning that he has had to go into isolation in case any of the other stars have to drop out at the last minute.

Just like last year’s series of I’m A Celebrity, all the contestants heading into the castle will have to isolate for two weeks before the show launches.

They will then form a bubble for the duration of their time on the show.

This all makes Richard’s break somewhat suspicious, especially after his comments last week as he confirmed his time away.

After spending hours teasing his ‘long journey ahead’ throughout the show, he ended the episode by saying: ‘Now then, I’ve got a place to go and people to see, and things to eat. Interesting things to eat. I’ll be back very soon after Christmas, so this is my last show for a while.’

Susanna didn’t let his subtle clues slide, as she asked: ‘How do we say goodbye in Welsh?’

‘I was going to ask you that,’ he replied, and she quipped: ‘I don’t know but I’m sure you’ll find out in the next couple weeks.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV. I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV on November 21.
