Dwayne Johnson has opened up about the ongoing Vin Diesel jokes in his films, following their infamous Fast and Furious feud.

The pair famously clashed in 2016 during filming for the Fate of the Furious, with their row quickly becoming public knowledge.

There have been continuous jokes at the Dominic Toretto actor’s expense in some of Dwayne’s films, most recently in upcoming Netflix blockbuster, Red Notice – where the cast make reference to his audition for Cats.

However, appearing on the Jess Cagle Show, he insisted that he has nothing to do with it.

‘The jokes never end,’ he said. ‘People were asking me about that and they just find a way.

‘It’s interesting, these Vin Diesel jokes – which play great, by the way, to the audience, which is always a good thing, because it’s really all about them – but people think these jokes come from me and they actually don’t.

‘You’d be surprised with how many people come to me with, “I’ve got a great one! I’ve got another great Vin Diesel joke!” It’s always funny.’

Vin previously let slip of what sparked their row – suggesting that his ‘tough love’ style of producing on the set of The Fate of the Furious may have been a catalyst.

Dwayne publicly appeared to take aim at his former co-star on social media at the time, ahead of the film’s release.

‘My female co-stars are always amazing, and I love ’em,’ the former WWE legend tweeted at the time. ‘My male co-stars however are a different story.’

In comments believed to have been aimed at Vin, he said: ‘Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t.

‘The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es.

‘When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.’

In a recent chat with Vanity Fair, he confessed his regret over airing their drama so openly.

‘It wasn’t my best day, sharing that. I shouldn’t have shared that. Because at the end of the day, that goes against my DNA,’ he told the publication.

‘I don’t share things like that. And I take care of that kind of bulls**t away from the public. They don’t need to know that.’
