This year’s Children In Need will air special episodes of The Repair Shop and I Can See Your Voice, and we can’t wait.

The star-studded event, which will also see the likes of Ed Sheeran and Tom Grennan perform, is due to take place on Friday 19 November.

In a Repair Shop special, Jay Blades and bear repair duo Amanda Middlemarch and Julie Tatchell will carry out a unique restoration for a young lad whose family has been supported by a Children in Need-funded project.

Billy, 13, and his mum Mandy bring a very special bear called Henry to the barn, in the hope that the ladies can work their magic on him. No doubt we’ll need our tissues ready for this one.

In addition, I Can See Your Voice show is back with a special lip sync challenge and Paddy McGuinness hosting.

The Top Gear presenter is joined by a bunch of celebrity investigators for the addictive play-a-long singing game, including Jimmy Carr, Alison Hammond and Amanda Holden who are helped by Pudsey himself.

Meanwhile, BBC Sport presenter Mike Bushell, newsreader Kate Silverton and broadcaster and Radio 2 presenter Jason Mohammad will be getting stuck in with all the lip-syncing.

Elsewhere on the night, there will be a special episode of The Wall, fronted by Danny Dyer, and a bunch of famous faces will take on The Graham Norton Show’s infamous red chair.

Ed will put in a special performance and fellow singer Tom will perform By Your Side with a little help from schools around the UK singing along via video wall.

The BBC has confirmed Ade Adepitan, Mel Giedroyc, Graham Norton, Chris Ramsey and Alex Scott will co-host this year’s charity telethon, which will air live from Media City UK in Salford for the first time in its 41-year history.

The One Show’s Alex, who will be co-hosting the telethon for the second time, is a big fan of the music acts.

‘I am a big music fan and I love watching the artists perform live and do their thing,’ she enthused.

‘I also of course love when the final total is announced because it’s just such a memorable moment every year.

‘I said last year how special it was for me personally, to be part of the show I remember watching every November as a little girl.

‘If only little eight-year-old Alex could see me now!

‘So much work goes into this behind the scenes to produce what you see – a brilliant evening of fundraising and entertainment.’

Children In Need will air on Friday 19 November on BBC One.
