YouTuber and sex educator Hannah Witton has announced to her fans today that she is pregnant with her first child.
The social media personality posted the news on her Instagram and Twitter alongside a series of pictures of herself and her partner Dan posing with a scan of the little one.
‘I can’t believe I’m posting this… Dan and I are expecting a baby next year!’ she started off her post.
‘I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and the last 2 months have been ROUGH. I’m still struggling with some fatigue and nausea but (I think/hope) the worst has passed.
‘We’re so happy! It was such a shock, after a year of trying we just weren’t expecting this at all!’ added Hannah confirming that, ‘Baby is due end of April!’
Many of her YouTube friends and colleagues took to her comments to congratulate her.
Singer Dodie expressed her excitement writing ‘YEYEYEEEE’ while Carrie Hope Fletcher commented with ‘Congratulations!!!!’
Jack Edwards also chimed in adding: ‘OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG IM SO F**KING HAPPY FOR YOU AHHHHH’
Hazel Hayes also wrote ‘HUGE CONGRATS HANNAH!’ while American YouTuber Sierra Schultzzie, who just gave birth to her first child, commented: ‘YAY!! oh my goodness Hannah, so so happy for you! Y’all are going to be amazing parents. Congratulations!’
Hannah has been sharing her journey with trying to get pregnant on her YouTube channel in a series of videos titled The Hormone Diaries.
While the first series focused on her coming off the contraceptive pill, rediscovering her periods after seven years and ultimately deciding to get an IUD, the second series started off with her decision to get her coil removed and start trying for a baby.
In the series, Hannah has taken viewers through how to track ovulation and keep sex fun while trying to conceive.
She has also been very candid about her struggles with fertility after trying for a year, the process of getting referred to a fertility clinic and how her health and disability might affect her ability to conceive.
Hannah suffers from ulcerative colitis and had to undergo surgery in 2018 to remove part of her intestines which has left her with a stoma.
In her last video updating fans about her pregnancy journey, posted last month, Hannah was recounting the events of last August while she was still trying to conceive.
Seeing she now admitted she has been pregnant for a few months it’s likely that in her next video of the series she will share the moment she found out with her fans.
