Love Island star Liberty Poole will always be cautious of showing too much of her home on social media but won’t ‘live in fear’ after fellow influencer Molly-Mae Hague’s home was burgled.

Molly-Mae and boyfriend Tommy Fury’s apartment in Manchester was targeted last month by thieves who made off with around £800,000 worth of goods, forcing the couple to move out of their home for good.

The incident has shone a light on how much influencers share on social media with their primary job to give followers an insight into their everyday lifestyle.

However, safety has always been a priority for Liberty, 22, who lives alone.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk to mark her ambassador role with Skinny Tan, the reality star said: ‘I’ve got to be careful because I’m not living with anyone. I don’t live with my family and obviously I don’t have a partner so I’ve got to be careful in that sense.

‘But I don’t live life in fear, I just do my own thing and stay true to myself so I guess I’m just going to keep doing me in regards to social media.’

She added: ‘You guys will get to see some exciting things and get an insight into my life because you guys have seen me on Love Island, I don’t want to hide my life from people, I want them to be involved and see what I’m doing.’

Liberty shot to fame appearing on the ITV2 dating series this summer and struck up a romance with fellow islander Jake Cornish. However, she decided to leave the villa alone after realising they weren’t compatible after all.

She’s now preparing to star in the 2022 series of Dancing On Ice and, albeit single, is too busy to worry about dating anyone new right now.

‘I have very high standards and at the moment, there’s no one for me that’s really reaching them standards,’ she told us.

‘I’d just rather focus on myself. You’ve seen my journey and I went through this journey of self love so at the moment I’m really just putting my energy into me and I’m really happy and at peace doing that. I wouldn’t want to date someone and for it to take away from that.

‘I think maybe in the future the right person may come along but this is not the right time in my life to think about them sort of thing.’

The TV star added: ‘Even if I like a guy or they do the littlest thing, I just shut my feelings off because I don’t want to get hurt. I’d rather just carry on being an independent girl boss than dating. It’s not the right time for me and I’m also literally the world’s worst replier.’

As for her Love Island co-stars, Liberty is still in contact with many of them – primarily her villa bestie Kaz Kamwi – but revealed the group chat ‘isn’t used as often’ as they’re all so busy.
