Recently, the video conferencing application, Zoom extended its live transcription feature to all of its users, including paid and free account holders. Earlier, the feature was limited to paid users only. According to the recent announcement, Zoom is pleased to announce that auto-generated captions, also known as live transcription, are now available on all free and paid Zoom accounts.

Apart from the captions, the video chatting app has also introduced a few accessibility tools, for instance pinning interpreter video, keyboard shortcuts and screen reader support.

Zoom, in a blog post, announced that it will be showing auto-generated captions of members when communicating on webinars or video chats.

The instruction video was captioned with the new announcement about its accessibility to enable captions for all kinds of users.

Furthermore, the control to turn on the live transcription is with the admin or the co-admins/moderators, while participants are supposed to privately ask them to activate the feature from the meeting toolbar.

Moreover, the teleconferencing app is also on an improvised version already, which is to bring captions in different languages, once the widely used English live transcription feature gets a go-ahead.
