Entourage fans have been put on high alert after Jeremy Piven stated that he wants to bring the show back 10 years after it ended.

The actor is known for playing big shot Hollywood agent Ari Gold in the hit HBO series – albeit with a more ‘toned down’ version of his character.

Entourage ran for eight seasons from 2004 to 2011, before a spin-off film was released in 2015.

Now, Jeremy thinks it’d be interesting to bring it back and see how his character would adapt to more politically-correct times.

‘We’re definitely living in different times. What’s really fun and exciting about that is how would this group navigate those times? And I think that in itself is a great comedic premise,’ he told The Sun.

‘I think what would be really fun with [Ari] would be to watch him try to tone it down. That exercise in itself to me is funny, just to think about. Because how long would he last? 11 seconds, 11 days, 11 months? We don’t know. As an actor I would love to play that.’

The actor also believes fans are ready for a comeback, saying that episodes of his podcast How You Livin J Piven with the show’s creator Doug Ellin have proven popular.

‘People are definitely missing the show,’ he said. I think Doug is kind of the glue with everyone in the cast; he’s the creator. It all starts with Doug. It’s great to be back with everyone in the podcast form.

‘We have a lot of content and options, and I think people gravitate to things that move them and entertain them, and if they’re not finding it, they’re going back to something different from the past.’

Entourage also starred the likes of Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Dillon.

As well as the HBO series, Jeremy is known for roles in Mr Selfridge, Grosse Point Blank and Say Anything.

Entourage is available to stream on Now TV in the UK.
