Despite the fact that he eschews headline-grabbing spectacles like some of his contemporaries (no Lil Nas X pregnancy announcements or births here), Ed Sheeran has become a huge name in pop.
So, understandably, news that he’s going on his first tour since 2019 has excited fans the world over.
The tour was announced by projecting mathematical symbols on huge landmarks across the UK, like the Angel of the North, in keeping with the theme of Sheeran’s album titles.

This is the first leg of the tour, which is called the Mathematics Tour, or + – = ÷ x, and is named after his albums.
His next album ‘=’ comes out on October 19.
Lead single Bad Habits has spent 11 weeks atop the UK singles chart so far, landing him with a huge record of earning a whole year at number one collectively.

When do Ed Sheeran tickets go on sale?
Tickets for dates in England go on sale at 9am on Saturday, September 25 2021.
Tickets for Ireland and Northern Ireland go on sale at 8am on the same date, whereas Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands tickets all go on sale at 10am UK time.
You can purchase tickets via Ed’s official website or through an official vendor.
Sheeran has vocally come out against ticket resellers in the past so fans won’t be able to buy through anyone but one of the licenced vendors listed through his site.
