An array of 1900 fun-filled, free-to-attend activities celebrating the festival’s theme ‘Create Creativity’ await children and their families at Expo Centre Sharjah
As you walk through the entrance lobby of the Expo Centre in Sharjah stacks of books hang suspended from the ceiling that lead to the large exhibition hallways where creativity-inspiring activity workshops and reading spaces have been decorated in eclectic, eye-catching displays that tug at visitors, particularly children, inviting them to partake in the activity of their choice at the prestigious 13th Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF).
Designed in vibrant hues, from pastels to primary, an explosion of myriad colours blend together seamlessly to form lines and squares, geometric shapes and circles that create easily identifiable words and mnemonics.
Using space innovatively, 3D cutouts of objects have been cleverly suspended from the ceiling to clearly denote a particular workshop (cycle and ball above Sports Workshop, vegetables in Cookery Corner, swings and musical notes above the Music Workshop) enabling even smaller, pre-Nursery children to identify the area of their unique interest without depending on a parent.
Bringing together renowned authors, illustrators, publishers, singers and actors under the theme, ‘Create Creativity,’ the 13th edition of the iconic Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) is hosting cookery shows, competitions and plays, among other interactive sessions including 750 workshops and 130 art shows, till the 22nd of May 2022, at Expo Centre Sharjah.
