Love Is Blind star Shayne Jansen has addressed the rumours about him using drugs on the show after Netflix viewers commented on his appearance and ‘jittery’ mannerisms.

The 32-year-old estate agent had a rocky ride on the hit show, which saw his ex-fiancée Natalie Lee calling things off at the altar in emotional scenes during the wedding finale.

While fans were put off by Abishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee’s insensitive commentary during the reunion special, fans also noticed Shayne ‘twitching’ a lot.

During an interview on The Viall Files, the reality star opened about his drug use in the past, but strongly denied the ‘false’ claims that he was under the influence during filming.

‘People thought I was doing cocaine,’ he said.

‘I’m mic’d up the whole time. Everyone would have heard me do it. It’s wild to think that I was carrying cocaine on me, and I was snorting lines and doing all this kind of stuff in the bathroom when I’m mic’d up.’

‘I’m not naive to say I haven’t done it before in my past, like no, but not in the show, I’m not stupid. I’m not going to risk everything for that on the show,’ he added.

Shayne also attributed his high energy to ‘severe ADHD’ (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and stressed how ‘uncomfortable’ he felt professing his feelings in front of his co-stars.

‘It’s not 30 minutes. It’s like three hours,’ he added.

‘And you have cameras here, cameras here, staring at you while you’re confessing your love and you’re talking about all your deep emotions.

Although they never got to say ‘I do’ Natalie revealed that she and Shayne continued their engagement away from the camera.

‘A week after our wedding, we started dating again,’ she told People Magazine. ‘Maybe it’s not dating – we continued our engagement again. We were together for several months.’

However, the pair have split for good, after Natalie was linked to co-star Salvador Perez.

Love is Blind is available to stream on Netflix.
