Ant and Dec have got fans excited for the return of Saturday Night Takeaway after they shared a photo of them posing with a horse.
The Geordie duo was sadly missed by audiences over the weekend after their weekly ITV entertainment show was axed in favour of the Six Nations.
Viewers instead saw Ireland play Scotland before France took on England in the final match of this year’s championship, rather than Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly front a bunch of big money competitions and prank their celebrity friends.
However, the pair have confirmed they’ll be back on television screens this Saturday and posted two pictures of themselves at the beach with a horse… because, why not?
In the photo, Dec is seen riding the pony while Ant holds a selfie stick and captures the picture while holding onto the reins.
Captioning the post, they wrote: ‘Not easy taking a selfie on the hoof while you’re horsing around 🤳But this one came out pretty well?! 😂 We’re live in the studio again this Saturday 7pm! 🎉 #SaturdayNightTakeaway.’
Fans were over the moon by the images and rushed to Twitter to celebrate the presenters’ upcoming return.
‘Fantastic, can’t wait to have u back lads!! Love the selfie!!!’ one enthused.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘Love the picture boys, can’t wait to watch Saturday night takeaway 😆😆😆missed it so much last Saturday!’
This week’s episode of Saturday Night Takeaway is set to feature Line Of Duty and Motherland star Anna Maxwell Martin is in the Star Guest announcer booth.
Meanwhile, crooner Michael Bublé is back for a big band End of the Show Show, and there’s a Takeaway Getaway up for grabs in the grand return of Sofawatch.
Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway airs on Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
