Peter Andre has shared his pride over son Junior’s budding music career, confirming that he has taken on the role of his manager.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 49, previously revealed that his eldest child – who he shares with ex-wife Katie Pricewas following in his musical footsteps.

Sharing an update, the dad-of-four posted a snap of the 16-year-old posing in the recording studio, with a sweet message of support.

‘Son I’m so proud of you it’s unreal,’ he began. ‘Since we went to the studio that day you have not stopped.

‘Every single day and night you graft for your craft. You are humble and kind and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the songs. Get ready everyone.

‘I’m right beside you the whole way. You are my first experience at management so I hope me and the team help get it right @officialjunior_andre @rebelrecs @columbiauk.’

Junior penned a sweet response in the comments below, adding: ‘Love you dad.’

The teenager signed his first record deal with Columbia Records last summer, making the announcement on Instagram.

‘Signing my first ever record deal is a dream come true,’ he said at the time.

‘I would like to thank everyone who helped me get here, especially the team at Columbia and Rebel Records and all the people who worked with me on this project.’

Peter, who released his debut single, Drive Me Crazy, in 1992, recently confessed his fears about watching Junior’s journey begin.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, he told Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid: ‘It’s a mixture of I‘m proud and I’m excited and I see how hard he works and he practices everyday just how I used to do when I was a kid, but there’s also a fear to it.

‘There’s this fear of getting thrown into this lifestyle which, I know he’s part of in some kind of way but that’s also why I didn’t let him sign anything before 16 because he has to be at an age where he can go to a schedule.

‘Whereas before, it was just he’d appear on something on the day he wasn’t at school.

‘This is a way of life and it’s going to be a lot of work for him and he’s so excited. I’m proud but I’m also a little bit scared as I guess anyone would be.’
