WWE legend Shawn Michaels has revealed The Kliq all said goodbye to Scott Hall on FaceTime shortly before he died.

The Heartbreak Kid has opened up on the heartbreaking farewell each of the late Hall of Famer’s close friends shared with him, as Michaels, Sean Waltman, Triple H and Kevin Nash each called Hall – who made his name in WWE as Razor Ramon before changing the business in WCW as part of the nWo – for their own private conversations.

The former Intercontinental Champion died on Monday aged 63 after being taken off life support days after he suffered three heart attacks following complications from hip replacement surgery.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Michaels said: ‘We wanted to let him know that we were there for him. We had the opportunity, one more time, to tell him how much we loved him.

‘A long time ago, we decided that we were going to be there for each other. If we were wrong, then we’d be wrong together. You hear the term “I have your back,” but when the rubber hits the road, that doesn’t always happen.

‘We weren’t perfect, but we made that commitment to do it till the end. It was like a marriage, and it stuck. And that’s what makes this so hard.’

The publication noted that Michaels broke down in tears as he reflected on what he wanted his friend’s legacy to be following his tragic death.

‘That we loved him,’ he added. ‘He was easy to love. There was a pure soul there, and I think everybody knows that now. There was an unbelievably wonderful human being inside that big ol’ body.’

Meanwhile, he also revealed how The Kliq has been there for each other this week as they try to come to terms with their collective loss.

He said: ‘This moment, for Scott, it means a lot that he’s getting the love he always deserved.

‘The four of us, we’ve all talked a lot since this happened. A part of us understands that this happens in life, and we know we’re lucky to have so much time together. But it still wasn’t long enough.’
