Kirsten Stewart has revealed that she turned down a role in Scream 4, saying she ‘can’t touch that’.

The Spencer actor, 31, revealed that she’d been offered the role of the ‘Stab’ character in the 2011 movie, the part that Drew Barrymore originally played in the first 1996 version.

In a recent interview with Slant magazine, she said that the cameo was supposed to ’emulate’ the original’s iconic opening sequence in which Drew’s character is killed.

Speaking to the outlet, she said: ‘I can’t do a Drew. I can’t touch that. Do you know what I mean?

‘But, yeah, so then they ended up doing, if I’m remembering correctly, a larger sequence and not just one victim.’

She added: ‘Maybe. I would read the script. I love Neve Campbell so much. She was very nice to me, and it was very satisfying that she’s a very nice person.’

Kirsten is currently nominated for best actress at this year’s Academy Awards for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Spencer.

She recently revealed that she was gifted ‘all of the clothes’ she wore as Princess Diana for the movie Spencer.

In an interview with Slant, Kristen revealed: ‘Jacqueline [the costume designer] gave me like all of the clothes.

‘I usually also don’t take stuff because you think you’re going to want it, because you’re so attached to it then, but then you can’t just have this weird little treasure box of I don’t know…

‘I’ve usually been like, “I’m going to leave this here”,’ she continued.

‘But I have almost every piece of wardrobe that I wore in the movie because she wanted to give it to me.’
