AEW Revolution 2022 is hours away, with fans flocking to Orlando, Florida to soak up the sun – and then a night of high class wrestling action.

Tony Khan’s company is on a roll, and as ever there is a lot of hype as we approach another stacked pay-per-view event loaded with plenty of matches with the potential to steal the show.

Four championships are on the line, plus a brutal Dog Collar Match which promises to be as nasty as the name suggests – as well as a host of grudges matches, and a future TNT Title opportunity on the line.

The storytelling heading into this weekend has been phenomenal, particularly when it comes to WWE legend CM Punk and rising star MJF’s emotionally-charged feud (more on that below).

As always, we’ve put together our usual pay-per-view guide with the full match card, streaming details and more.

Here’s what you need to know…

What can you expect from AEW Revolution 2022? Dog collars, world championship matches and more

AEW never really misses on pay-per-view, and Revolution looks to continue that trend.

For us here at Metro.co.uk, the most anticipated bout of the night has to be MJF taking on his former idol CM Punk in a Dog Collar Match with years of history and emotion going into the match.

As MJF’s exposing promo recently revealed, he blames Punk for abandoning wrestling – and him – when he left WWE in 2014, after growing up a huge fan of the former world champion and looking to him as both an inspiration and escape from bullying.

On the flip side, Punk now has to face someone blaming him for his own villainous ways, while potentially having to reconcile with his own genuine role in that.

It’s a fascinating tale, and one that should result in a show-stealing fight – but it’s not the only match to pay attention to tonight.

Hangman page should retain over Adam Cole as it feels too soon for him to drop the gold, while Thunder Rosa should be the one to finally dethrone Britt Baker.

Keith Lee shouldn’t lose his first high profile match, and with the AEW World Title scene quite crowded, getting him in a position to win the TNT Championship is vital.

Look for Eddie Kingston beating Chris Jericho, while Bryan Danielson beating Jon Moxley would open the door for the latter agreeing to team up with a man he has plenty of history with.

Although Cole could fall short, his buddies in reDRagon could easily pick up the tag titles, while Jade Cargill should retain her gold over Tay Conti.
