Strictly Come Dancing’s Sara Davies was in tears as she discussed not having her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec in her life following their elimination.

The couple became the seventh to be voted off the BBC competition during Sunday’s launch show and joined Rylan Clark-Neal on tonight’s episode of It Takes Two.

Sara became visibly upset and was forced to wipe her eyes with a tissue as she choked up about not being able to work with Alijaz every day.

‘I woke up this morning and I was just lost,’ she told Rylan, who was also emotional and also reached for the tissues. ‘I was.’

Turning to look at Alijaz, Sara then proceeded to share their daily routine, revealing: ‘The alarm goes off at five o’clock, [I] check my Instagram Stories and you’ve done a little story and I’m like, “Oh, he’s woken up!”

‘And then we’d meet in our little studio, we had our own set of keys. I’d let us in and you’d go and make the coffees and I’d turn the glitterball on even though we really didn’t need the glitterball on at six in the morning.’

She added: ‘It was just a little bubble.’

Rylan was forced to interrupt Sara’s comments as the show started to end.

‘I cannot wait to give you a cuddle,’ he said politely as the credits rolled across the screen.

Dragons’ Den star Sara faced social media star Tilly Ramsay and her partner Nikita Kuzmin in the dance-off following the public vote on Sunday.

Tilly and Nikita also landed in the bottom two the previous week against Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and Katya Jones, but they were saved by the judges for a second time.

Sara and Alijaz danced their Argentine tango to No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) by Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand again, but it was not enough to save them from being booted out of the competition.

It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC One.
