Olivia Jade Giannulli has become one of the latest celebrities to be eliminated from Dancing With The Stars, revealing how ‘proud’ her parents feel of how far she’s come.

In the latest episode of the US dancing competition, which was themed around Janet Jackson’s music, beauty influencer Olivia and her partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy earned 36 out of a possible score of 40 for their Argentine Tango.

With the third lowest score of the night, and considering several other couples achieved straight 10s for their performances, in the end Olivia and Valentin became one of two couples to leave the series, joining country singer Jimmie Allen and his partner Emma Slater.

Having also lost in a rumba dance-off JoJo Siwa – which saw the Dance Moms star earn an additional two points – Olivia, 22, admitted she was ‘shocked’ she made it this far in the competition.

She also told reporters that her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, are ‘so proud’ of her for participating.

‘They were both like, “Hey, you did it. You tried your best. We’re proud of you for putting yourself out there, and we love you.” So they’re great. They’re obviously very supportive,’ she said.

Olivia recently admitted that she feels as though she’s ‘walking on eggshells’ over fears she’ll be ‘cancelled again’ following her parents’ involvement in the college admissions scandal.

Lori and Mossimo were two of 53 people charged as part of a college admissions scam, where they were accused of paying Rick Singer $500k (£408k) to ensure their two daughters would be accepted into the University of Southern California as members of the college rowing team, despite neither of them having rowed before.

Lori pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, in addition to receiving a fine and two years probation.

Last December, Lori was released early from the FCI Dublin facility in California, while Mossimo has also been released from prison.

Speaking on an episode of her podcast Conversations With Olivia Jade with psychologist Dr Hillary Goldsher, the influencer explained why she’s cautious over discussing the scandal.

‘I’m so hesitant to talk about it because of the trauma…of like, “Gosh, if I say this or it comes off kinda the wrong way, am I gonna get canceled again?” It really does leave an impression in one’s mind,’ she said.

‘I get so nervous, and I feel like I walk on eggshells when I talk, just because I don’t wanna say the wrong thing. And I wanna make it clear to people listening that I’m not trying to victimize myself.’

Olivia’s highest score on Dancing With The Stars was for her Quickstep, for which she earned 38 points.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Mondays in the US at 8 pm on ABC.
