BBC Radio 1 presenter Adele Roberts has admitted to ‘feeling a bit low’ following her surgery to remove a tumour last week.

The TV and radio star recently announced that she had been diagnosed with bowel cancer before having the operation.

Following her release from hospital, Adele reunited with girlfriend Kate Holderness and enjoyed a cinema trip as well as other outings however, one experience left her feeling deflated.

Sharing her ordeal in her Instagram stories, the former Big Brother star explained: ‘Bit of a bad night for me last night. Feeling a bit low after nipping to the shops with Kate.

‘Not as mobile as I used to be, had someone bang into me and then got upset that I was slow

I know everyone’s going through their own struggles but please try and look out for each other today. We can’t always see what people are dealing with.’

She added: ‘Have an amazing day & I’ll go for a good walk to get my spirits back up.’

Adele had earlier shared an update with fans after successfully coming out from surgery.

She wrote last Thursday: ‘‘Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone. You’ve been absolutely incredible! So kind, sending good wishes and looking after my family.

‘You are the greatest! You’ve kept me going. I’ve had my ups and downs this week but today I really feel like I’m starting to turn a corner and hopefully I’ll be well enough to go home soon.’

The presenter added: ‘God bless the NHS. I cannot believe how hard they work and how much they care. They’re next level – so special.’

The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star went on to detail the small positives she takes from each day, including watching the BT Tower before her radio shows each morning and watching the sun rise as London wakes up.

After announcing her heartbreaking diagnosis, Adele, 42, was supported by girlfriend Kate, who shared a photo of them together with the caption: ‘The last few weeks have been…well I can’t even describe them.

‘Nothing feels real…but also suddenly everything feels hyper real. There have been lots of tears (mainly from me), lots of sleepless nights, but surprisingly there’s been a lot of laughing too. I can’t wait for Adele to tell you about those times when she’s on the mend.’

Following her own diagnosis, Adele has urged fans to get themselves checked regularly and to look out for changes and symptoms.
