The Simpsons has given a first look into its upcoming crossover event for Disney Plus Day.

The short film will see iconic characters from the animated sitcom meet with classic Disney characters on screen for the first time.

Titled The Simpsons in Plusaversary, the movie will be released on November 12 on the streamer to celebrate Disney+ Day.

‘The Simpsons host a Disney+ Day party and everyone is on the list… except Homer,’ read the official description.

‘With friends from across the service and music fit for a Disney princess, Plusaversary is Springfield’s event of the year.’

In the teaser poster for the short, Homer can be seen sitting at his typical bar table, though opposite him is not his buddy Barney Gumble but Goofy instead.

A Disney Plus Day premiere, The Simpsons in Plusaversary will debut exclusively on the streaming service.

The event, which marks the streamer’s second anniversary will see a lot of new and exclusive content land on the platform.

Among the content already announced are a new series of Frozen shorts with Olaf, a spin-off short on Pixar’s Luca titled Ciao Alberto, season two of The World According to Jeff Goldblum and a Star Wars special on Boba Fett to tease the upcoming Disney Plus show, The Book of Boba Fett, coming in December.

In addition, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will also have its streaming debut on the same day.

The Simpsons in Plusaversary is the latest crossover for the show.

Earlier this year it partnered with Marvel for The Good, The Bart, and The Loki and with Star Wars for Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens from Its Nap, both available to catch-up on Disney Plus.

The Simpsons also produced a 10-minute short film in partnership with Balenciaga for Paris fashion week.
