WWE star Damian Priest was left covered in nasty cuts and welts after a particularly brutal No Disqualification Match this week.
The United States Champion, who has been showing a much more intense edge to his character in recent weeks, battled T-Bar in non-title action on Monday’s episode of Raw and picked up a big win.
The pair used chairs, kendo sticks and a table as they battered each other in the name of entertainment, with the Archer of Infamy putting his fiery attitude on display.
In the end, he won with the Reckoning to keep building momentum, and both stars have been highly praised for a match which stood out on an edition of Raw featuring plenty of top quality action.
It came at a price though, with Priest baring the battle scars as he posed with his US Title backstage after the bout.
WWE share the snap on social media, teasing: ‘Who can stop #USChampion @ArcherOfInfamy?’
Priest retweeted the photo, simply adding: ‘To all… Bring it! #LiveForever’
The former NXT North American Champion has proved his toughness time and time again, with many Raw fans seeing it first hand when he battled Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in a Triple Threat Match.
‘Multiple times, I saw my spirit leaving my body and coming back in because it was like, I’ve had enough of this,’ he laughed, speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk at the time.
‘It’s one of those things, if you bring it back to them, not only does it make the match and the moment that much more special, but it’s like a weird acceptance of respect. Like, “OK you can go”.
‘I felt that, even after and speaking to producers or other people, they were like, “you held your own, that was you”.
‘Which is a cool feeling. I’m like, I glad something positive came out of me just getting my butt kicked and feeling this pain for no reason!’
*WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
