Anne Hathaway was seen giving Anthony Hopkins a hug goodbye as he wrapped filming on their latest project together.

The actress, 38, who was dressed in 1970s clothing for the role, was seen wrapping the 83-year-old star in a warm embrace as they shared a chat before parting ways.

The Academy Award winners have been starring together in period drama Armageddon Time, written and directed by James Gray.

Anthony’s scenes have been completed on the ‘coming-of-age story about growing up in Queens in the 1980s,’ though the production itself is still ongoing.

The Silence Of The Lambs star was seen filming near a park bench at Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, New York, alongside 13-year-old child actor Michael Banks Repeta.

The cast and crew were also seen wearing protective face masks in between takes as a precaution amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As well as Anne and Anthony, Armageddon Time also stars Succession’s Jeremy Strong and the release date for the project is yet to be confirmed.

Cast and crew were seen gathered around the pair, as Anthony donned a long dark overcoat and a brown fedora hat.

Anne’s costume consisted of brown flares, a checked shirt and a long denim coat, while her hair was styled to fit the era.

The latest project comes after Anne spent the past few months filming Apple TV+ series WeCrashed along with Oscar-winner Jared Leto.

The pair portray disgraced WeWork CEO Adam Neumann and his wife Rebekah, with the series exploring the ‘greed-filled rise and inevitable fall of the $50billion (£36billion) commercial real estate startup,’ according to Variety

Jared and Anne are also executive producers on the upcoming show as well as leading the cast.
