Former Indian cricketers react to Pakistan’s historic 10-wicket win against India as the Men-in-Green broke the unbeaten streak of the Men-in-Blue in World Cup.
Pakistan outclassed India in their first contest of the marquee tournament on Sunday which took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Babar Azam & Co played so well that even the former players who were initially mocking Pakistan’s record against the arch-rivals in the World Cup could not help but praise the team’s performance.
Irfan Pathan took a step further and appreciated his neighbour’s performance in the game on Saturday. He said, ‘Hamare padosi Achha khele aaj’
To dil tutaa akhirkaar.Hamare padosi Achha khele aaj. I’m believer, India will be back. #INDvPAK

Well done Pakistan. Wonderful effort to win this in style and get off the mark.
I am sure Team India will bounce back stronger from this #INDvPAK— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) October 24, 2021
Former right-handed batter VVS Laxman tweeted that it was very nice to see that Pakistan finally broke the jinx of losing to India in a world cups.
What a way to end their World Cup jinx against India. Afridi struck the early blows to set up the game for Pakistan, and the openers left nothing to chance. Excellent batting from Babar & Rizwan. India have plenty of work ahead, but have the pedigree to bounce back quickly.
