The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an opposition alliance will stage protests across the country against soaring inflation, growing unemployment and economic destruction from Friday (today).
The opposition has launched the nationwide protest and accused the PTI government of having no plan to deal with short- and long-term inflation, according to the official statement issued by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), one of the main opposition alliance parties.
The statement said that the anti-inflation protest rallies will be taken out in several cities including, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Sargodha, Swat and Changla.
The main protest in Lahore will begin from Jain Mandir Chowk at 3 pm after Friday prayers , protests in Sargodha, Peshawar, Swat, Shangla and other cities will also start at the same time.
In Peshawar, PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Amir Muqam will lead the protest rally which will be held at 4pm while the protest will start from Empress Market in Karachi after Friday prayers at 3pm.
PMN-L media wing also issued a protest’s schedule for various districts and divisions of Punjab including Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Jhang and Jauharabad.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif has appealed to the people to participate in the nationwide protests against inflation, unemployment, economic catastrophe.
He said that the economic condition of the country and the people will not improve without getting rid of the incumbent government.
