Marvel star Chris Evans had his fans in raptures of delight after sharing some gentle piano playing with his Instagram followers on Friday.

Playing on an upright piano, the Captain America actor deciding to show off his musical side and tickle the ivories with a Prince song.

Capturing the Stories ‘Purple Rain on a sunny day’, the 40-year-old played the famous tune in a relaxed manner, wearing a button-up white T-shirt and NASA baseball cap.

His commanding performance involved the star throwing the odd glance at the camera too, which is likely what tipped some followers over the edge.

‘Did you see this?’ tweeted one fan. ‘I nearly broke my phone.’

Another was in amazement over the actor’s varied talents, writing: ‘Chris is trying to get chosen out here, lol! He literally is a superhero, is an all around [sic] nice guy, & now he plays the piano too!!! Girrrllll.’

On fan was thrilled to see his musical rendition trending. ‘Chris Evans playing piano all over my timeline – so happy,’ they tweeted.

Asking the question we’d surly all like an answer to, one Twitter user suggested: ‘Can Chris Evans comes over and play piano for me please? I’d appreciate it.’

Although Chris has stepped away from his role as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, which shot him to the top tier of stardom, Marvel fans will still see him and Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson in an upcoming movie.

The pair have reportedly signed up for Apple’s upcoming adventure movie, Ghosted.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the flick is being described as a ‘high-concept romantic action-adventure in the vein of Romancing the Stone’, which starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

Scarlett recently settled her lawsuit with Disney after suing the company for allegedly breaching its contract with her by releasing Marvel blockbuster prequel Black Widow on its streaming platform, Disney Plus, rather than having an exclusive theatrical release.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but the actress said in a statement: ‘I am happy to have resolved our differences. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team.

‘I look forward to continuing our collaboration in years to come.’
