Strictly Come Dancing 2021 is officially heating up, with the stars competing for viewers’ votes for the first time – but the judges haven’t been left super impressed.

Craig Reveal Horwood in particular has been branded ‘harsh’ this week, critiquing the likes of Nina Wadia, Adam Peaty, and Katie McGlynn.

EastEnders star Nadia performed a Tango, which Craig declared ‘wasn’t her dance’, handing out a score of three.

Adam Peaty rocked the ballroom with a Quickstep with Katya Jones, but Craig wasn’t impressed, giving it a score of four.

Meanwhile, when asked if he liked Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez’s Jive, he started his answer by saying: ‘No, not really, there were mistakes.’

Craig went on to also hand down a score of three to Greg Wise for his couple’s choice with Karen Hauer.

Everything alright Craig?!

‘Craig is harsh with his scoring tonight,’ one viewer wrote, while another added of Greg’s score from Greg: ‘That 3 is really harsh’.

‘Week 2 and they are very harsh,’ another added, referencing X Factor icon Kelly and her ‘very, very harsh’ quote, while one more viewer said: ‘Wow! A little too harsh on Nina.’

Nina, who danced with her partner Neil Jones, recently opened up about her process behind her dances, revealing she creates different characters to help her through.

‘I did learn something last week, which is I think I need a story,’ the comedian shared.

‘As an actor I think if I have a story to tell, I think I somehow will just dance better.

‘So I’m just telling the story. Instead of with lines, I will be telling it with dance. I find that easier.’

After getting off to a flying start with a score of 24 last week, Nadia said her pro partner Neil Jones ‘came up with a story for this week which is really fun.’

Having fun seems to be her main goal, as she strives to be ‘relaxed’ and bring audience members ‘along for the ride.’

Strictly Come Dancing returns Sunday at 7:05pm on BBC One.
