Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, said that the wise and strong leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has made the United Arab Emirates a country of progress, prosperity, and stability.
“The minister, during his speech at the ‘Tolerance Without Borders’ Forum, reaffirmed our nation’s commitment to global peace and sustainability while highlighting our achievements in these areas ahead of COP28. He commended the youth for embracing technology and a global perspective, underscoring the interconnectedness of today’s world. He praised their determination and expressed confidence in their potential to become future leaders dedicated to improving their communities and the world.
The minister emphasized the importance of ‘Tolerance Without Borders,’ aligning it with the values of a global society based on cooperation, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence, which are central to the UAE’s national vision. He acknowledged pressing environmental challenges, such as resource depletion and greenhouse gas emissions, and expressed hope in ongoing efforts to address these issues.
Lastly, Sheikh Nahyan encouraged young people to actively engage in the initiative by fostering global connections, promoting peace, leveraging technology, and showcasing the UAE’s model of tolerance and sustainability on the global stage, especially in the Year of Sustainability and leading up to COP28.
He concluded by affirming his belief that believe that the energy, education, vitality, and enthusiasm of young people can and will move the global community to focus on issues of common concern and to seek solutions to the most important problems of the current times.
