Paul O’Grady is back doing what he does best thanks to his new ITV show, Paul O’Grady’s Saturday Night Line-Up.

The star-studded Saturday night show aired its first episode last week, and saw four famous faces eating humble pie as they realised just what the public thought of them.

It’s a welcome return to Paul O’Grady’s bawdy Lily Savage roots, previously promising a ‘dirty’ show after bemoaning the ‘boring’ state of chat shows.

What is the concept of Paul O’Grady’s new series and when is it next on?

What is Paul O’Grady’s Saturday Night Line-Up?

The show involves host Paul inviting much-loved celebrities to pit themselves against each other, to find out what the great British public really thinks of them.

The studio-based series features four different celebrity guests every week from the worlds of TV, film, sport and music and, throughout the show, the famous faces are asked to line up in order of best to worst or most to least, in response to a variety of questions, scenarios and dilemmas presented to them by Paul.

ITV explain that scenarios could include: ‘Who is the richest? Who is most likely to have a midlife crisis? Who would the public most want to go on date with?

‘All of the scenarios presented are guaranteed to provoke surprising revelations and sparks of rivalry between the celebrities as they compete to correctly guess where the public would place them in relation to the question.’

To win a point, the celebrities must try to match their position in the line-up with the order that the surveyed 1,000 members of the British public have put them in.

For some celebs, it might be a shock to find out what the public really think of them…

At the end of each show, the celebrity guest with the most points is the winner and will receive a Mystery Prize.

Which celebrities are taking part?

In the first episode (which aired last Saturday, September 11) Jack Dee, Joanna Page, Rob Rinder and Mica Paris all stepped into the arena to see what the public thought of them.

The series will run for seven episodes in total, with each one airing weekly and available to stream on ITV Hub after airing.
