The highly-anticipated third season of Sex Education is back and with several bangs – literally.
Those who have seen the first two minutes and eighteen seconds of the Netflix series will know exactly what we mean…
Viewers found themselves lost for words by the chaotic montage which showed a number of Moordale students and even the teachers engaging in vigorous and intense sexual activity with their partners.
As the series made its debut today, it didn’t take long before Twitter went into meltdown.
One user said: ‘The opening scene for Sex Education 3… obviously not a prude but Jesus Christ.’
While another jumped on the bandwagon and questioned: ‘Ok but can we talk about #SexEducation season 3 opening scene?’
Asa Butterfield, who plays Otis Milburn – an awkward teenager who struggles with his mother’s occupation as sex therapist – recently promised the new series will be absolutely incredible.
The 24-year-old actor said to The Guardian: ‘There’s a bit of a time-jump since the season two cliffhanger.’
‘Otis is back at school but he’s got different things on his plate, he added. ‘He’s grown up a bit and become slightly more sassy.
‘It’s been fun to portray his newfound charisma. Don’t worry, though, he’s still tragically awkward too.’
Sex Education follows the lives of students on a journey of self-love and acceptance, while also dealing with the many insecurities and questions young people face in a school environment.
‘It’s a new year, Otis is having casual sex, Eric and Adam are official, and Jean has a baby on the way,’ the official synopsis teases.
The raunchy yet heart-warming series will also see Jemima Kirke from Girls join the cast as the principal of the school, implementing an abstinence-only policy, horrific school uniforms, and stripping any form of self- expression.
Sex Education has received critical and commercial acclaim due to its honest portrayal of sex, friendships, and relationships.
Sex Education season three is now available to stream on Netflix.
