The inaugural edition of the Lanka T10 Super League has made some headlines as it unleashed exciting encounters and performances during the tournament. Jaffna Titans co-owned by Shital Shah, is the team that has been consistent and the players have put up some great show throughout the competition. The side finished at the top of the table in round-robin stage and will be now taking on Hambantota Bangla Tigers in the title clash.
Shital Shah’s son Aayan is an avid cricket and Jaffna fan talks about his favourite cricketers, how he enjoys watching the sport from close quarters and that one player whom he wants to see playing the T10 leagues. “All the players in the side are great. We have a very dominating team and my favourite player is Kusal Mendis. He plays aggressive cricket and strikes some good maximums.”
“I also like Bhanuka Rajapaksa. He has been very inspiring and I have followed him since he has been in Punjab Kings. Apart from him, Dasun Shanaka is someone I look up to. He is a brilliant all-rounder and delivers with both bat and ball. The other players are Luke Wood, George Munsey, Shakib Al Hasan, Thisara Perera and Tom Abell whom I really like,” Aayan added.
The youngster is who also a Jasprit Bumrah fan and wants to see the pacer playing in T10 format talked about how the crowd has been very good and supportive throughout the competition. “The crowd has been very good and supportive. The atmosphere has been electrifying. I’m really enjoying watching the games here.”
The young lad plays cricket himself as well and fielding is something that interests him. “I do both batting and bowling but fielding is something that I really love,” Ayaan concluded.
