On the first day of the second Test against Pakistan in Multan on Friday, England chose to bat and were later dismissed for 281 runs in their first innings, thanks to the young wizard Abrar Ahmed.
With a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series, Ben Duckett (63) and Ollie Pope (60) each struck comfortable half-centuries for the visiting team.
Abrar Ahmed, a Pakistani spinner, had a great Test debut, taking 7-114.
Friends have nicknamed the 24-year-old “Harry Potter” because he wears eyeglasses resembling those of the mythical young wizard, and he worked his own kind of magic after England made the decision to bat on a turning pitch.
Ahmed became the thirteenth Pakistani bowler to record five or more dismissals in a single innings.
After the first session was delayed for Friday prayers, Ben Stokes and Will Jacks were at the bat with 14 and 0 runs, respectively, at the break.
It was totally different from the first Test, in which England destroyed it 174-0 by lunch on the first day.

As paceman Naseem Shah was ruled out with a shoulder injury, Pakistan included three spinners in the lineup in an effort to tie the series after losing the first Test by a score of 74 runs.
Despite frequently losing wickets, England scored runs quickly, with Pope and Duckett each hitting five fours and a six.
Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, began to use spin in the ninth over, and Abrar Ahmed then turned the game completely.
England is on their first Test tour of Pakistan since 2005. They won the opening game in Rawalpindi by a score of 74 runs.
