Sharjah :

The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) has launched the official website of the
Menassah Distribution Company on the sidelines of the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair
in line with its commitment to boost the culture of readership and strengthen the foundations
of knowledge in the Arab world and internationally.

The new website, www.menassah.ae, features titles in diverse categories on its e-store. It
also serves as a platform providing comprehensive services to local and international
authors and publishers, including editing, design, production, and marketing through the use
of advanced technologies and methodologies. It builds on the company’s efforts to promote
the works of its members online and broaden their exposure to audiences beyond the local
market.

The website, offered in Arabic and English, also contains blogs that serve as an interactive
space to discuss books.

After the launch, EPA called on UAE publishers, authors, and researchers to apply for and
sign contracts to distribute and market their work through the new website.

Mr. Rashed Al Kous, Executive Director of EPA, said: “With the launch of the new website,
EPA offers its members and UAE publishers, authors, and researchers a new platform to
promote their works both at international events and exhibitions, and online, which is aligned
with EPA’s goals and strategies to provide readers with rich content in traditional and digital
formats.”

The new distribution company under EPA was established in May 2021 to offer solutions to
the challenges related to the publishing sector and enable local publishers to expand their
reach into regional and international markets with reduced operating costs. The vision and
brand identity of the new company was unveiled during the 40th edition of SIBF.

The company will commence its distribution activities in the UAE through bookstores,
exhibitions and online platforms. It aims to alleviate the larger burden of financial costs
related to shipping and other related activities by charging only a nominal fee in accordance
with the subscription contracts and special requests made by publishers.
