Jose Mourinho is happy at Roma and will reject interest from Paris Saint-Germain, who are keen for the Portuguese coach to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
The Ligue 1 giants are set to part ways with Pochettino, who no longer has the backing of the board after the devastating Champions League defeat to Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of this year’s competition.
Pochettino guided the club to Ligue 1 success last term but that’s not enough for the PSG board, who are obsessed with winning the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
That’s led the French side to consider Mourinho as their next boss, with the former Manchester United manager leading the race to replace Pochettino.
The two-time Champions League winner won his fifth piece of European silverware last month when he guided Roma to Europa Conference League success.
However, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Mourinho is happy in the Italian capital and is ‘more committed’ than ever to staying at the club.
That’s a blow for the Parisians, who will consider a bold attempt to prise Antonio Conte away from Tottenhan if they fail with a bid for Mourinho.
