Jodie Whittaker’s baby bump is well and truly growing following the actress’ pregnancy announcement earlier this year.

The Doctor Who star, 39, showcased her blossoming belly as she ran errands in London this Thursday.

Dressed in casual attire, the Time Lord looked super comfy in an oversized camel-coloured jacket, white sweater and black joggers.

She wore shades while enjoying the spring sunshine and swept her hair back into a low ponytail.

Jodie is currently expecting her second child with husband Christian Contreras, after welcoming their first daughter in 2015.

She sent social media into a frenzy in February when she walked the Brit Awards red carpet with a baby bump showing through her dress.

While Jodie didn’t address her pregnancy during the show, the designer of her gorgeous gown took to Instagram afterwards to share the exciting news.

‘The beautiful #jodiewhittaker in our custom made beanbag ball dress for #thebritawards2022 @britawardsinc – the dress is all made from end of life materials and was created specifically to incorporate her pregnancy, while allowing Jodie to retain her sense of self.

‘We’ve worked with Jodie before and love the energy she brings to our pieces… for this occasion, we wanted to make something both structured and yet playful – and this is the result! Jodie recently filmed her final scenes for BBC’s Doctor Who, with her exit set to air this autumn.

Speculation is rife over who will replace her, with names such as Olly Alexander and Lydia West thrown in the mix.

Most recently, it was reported that rom com royalty Hugh Grant could be stepping into the TARDIS, with the show supposedly set for a ‘Marvel-style’ makeover.

However, the Love Actually star quickly shut down the rumours, writing on Twitter: ‘Nothing against Dr W but I’m not. No idea where the story came from.’

Jodie joined the series as the first female Doctor in 2017, with her departure being kept firmly under wraps for now.

Matt Strevens will also be exiting as the show’s executive producer, but he’s hinted that her final outing will have a huge impact on Whovians across the globe.

Speaking to Doctor Who magazine, he said that ‘the final story is a massive, feature-length epic’, which he recalled was ‘huge to shoot – with lots of surprises for fans of all ages.’
