David Walliams and Matt Lucas are back at it again, transforming into a whole host of iconic duos for their comeback this weekend for Comic Relief.
Having already boasted their transformations into Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, the duo have added some more pairings to their list for the revival of their sketch show Rock Profile.
Before Matt and David left viewers in fits of laughter with the likes of Vicky Pollard and Marjorie Dawes, Rock Profile saw them imitate the biggest pop stars on the planet and essentially rip them to shreds.
This time, they’ll be performing as American pop-star Billie Eilish and Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi, as well as a pairing we never thought we’d see… Lady Gaga and Post Malone.
Grimacing under a green wig that’s a pretty close copy of Billie’s locks, David shared a post on Twitter today next to a grinning Lewis Capaldi doppelganger (almost).
Rock Profile ran from 1999 to 2009 and saw the Little Britain pair play musicians such as Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Gary Barlow in spoof interviews.
Now, they’re back and they’re as iconic as ever.
Michael Ball and Alfie Boe will be among those getting the Matt and David treatment, with startling results.
Disguised under some very questionable facial hair, David shared a picture of the duo dressed as the Ball and Boe, showing off the ‘Ball and Boe Christmas album’.
In another picture for their upcoming Red Nose Day special, Matt is dressed up like Miley Cyrus with David strumming a guitar and sporting a mullet as her dad Billy Ray Cyrus.
Speaking about the sketch revival, Great British Bake Off host Matt said: ‘It’s been really fun giving the “Rock Profile” treatment to a host of stars who weren’t even twinkles in our eyes when we first did the show nearly 25 years ago.’
The Britain’s Got Talent judge added: ‘I can’t wait for everyone to see our brand-new characters.’
Jamie Theakston previously featured as a celebrity interview in the original Rock Profile series, but will be replaced by Vernon Kay this time around.
‘Thankfully I will be playing myself in Rock Profile, so I’ll be saving David or Matt the embarrassment of attempting my accent,’ he said.
Also reuniting this Red Nose Day will be Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, who will be reprising their ‘Extras’ roles for a The Repair Shop skit.
Comic Relief airs on Friday from 7pm on BBC One.
