With the launch of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2021 just days away, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have revealed they’ve arrived at Gwrych Castle, where they’re wrapping up warm in the cold.

Earlier this week, the stars taking part in the new series were officially announced, with Richard Madeley, Louise Minchin and Frankie Bridge leading the line-up.

Last year marked the first time that the show was held at Gwrych Castle in Wales, with the move from the usual camp in Australia taking place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

For the second year running, the celebrities are going to have to acclimatise to cold rather than the searing hot sun, with Ant and Dec getting a head start.

In a post shared on their joint social media accounts, Ant and Dec said that they’re ‘holding the fort’ at the historic castle until they’re joined by the cohort of famous faces.

The picture that they posted showed Ant and Dec keeping warm in huge puffer coats, smiling gleefully with the castle in the background.

‘We’re here! Just holding the fort until our celebs arrive,’ they said in the caption, alongside an emoji of an hourglass and a castle.

While Ant and Dec may be able to get toasty behind the scenes, the celebrities on the show won’t be so lucky, as they’ll have to make do with creating their own campfires and sleeping on less-than-comfortable surfaces.

Several I’m A Celeb fans expressed their excitement over Ant and Dec’s arrival on site, with one saying: ‘Welcome back to North Wales fellas.’

‘Absolutely buzzing! Can’t wait,’ someone else said, while another Twitter user wrote: ‘The boys are back in the castle!!!!’

Other stars currently in isolation in preparation for their stints on I’m A Celeb include rapper Naughty Boy, radio presenter Snoochie Shy, former footballer David Ginola and Olympic gold medallist Matty Lee.

Joining them are former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips, Paralympic athlete Kadeena Cox and Emmerdale star Danny Miller.

So who’ll bring home the bacon by earning stars for the rest of the camp in Bushtucker Trials and who’ll come home empty handed?

The next King or Queen of the Castle awaits.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! launches on Sunday November 21 at 9pm on ITV.
