A Delhi family hired a small band to play joyous music outside the school gate to commemorate their child’s return to school following protracted lockdowns. A video of the funny sight has already gone viral on social media.
Even while the potential of a pandemic remains, individuals have gradually returned to some sense of routine while adhering to safety standards.
It’s not just the grownups who are excited; children have returned to school after nearly two years, and the anticipation is obvious. So much so that a family has decided to throw a grand party — complete with a band!
The video, which was published on Twitter by user Safir (@safiranand), shows the band playing instruments with vigor, ranging from drums to trumpets, as parents and a little child look on.
“Family is so happy to send kids to school,” the user said besides the video, which was shot outside Springdales School in Dhaula Kuan and is undated.

When the video became viral on the internet, many people were taken aback by the family members’ delight.
Some joked that the song was presumably intended for parents who didn’t have to babysit their children all day, a common topic in #SchoolReopen jokes.
