Sean Lock is on the shortlist for the National Comedy Awards for Stand Up To Cancer three months after he died aged 58.
The late star, who lost his battle with cancer in August, has been nominated for his work on Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does countdown as voting is now officially open.
Sean is in the running for the Outstanding Male Comedy Ent Performance prize, with Mo Gilligan (The Lateish Show) also on the list alongside James Acaster (Hypothetical) and Mike Wozniak (Taskmaster).
Meanwhile, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown itself is also on the shortlist with Taskmaster, Rob & Romesh Vs: and Would I Lie To You all competing for Best Comedy Entertainment Show.
The winners will be announced at the Camden Roundhouse on December 15 with the glitzy ceremony set to air on Channel 4.
The event will honour both emerging and established British comedy talent, and the public will vote on the key prizes, while there will also be two special recognition awards.
Netflix favourite Sex Education is leading the way with five nominations including Best Scripted Comedy, while stars Emma Mackey and Asa Butterfield are in the running for Outstanding Comedy Actress and Actor respectively, with Ncuti Gatwa and Aimee Lou Wood listed for Outstanding Supporting Role.
Hit BBC comedy Ghosts follows closely behind with four nods, as it’s also competing for Best Scripted Comedy with This Way Up and Motherland rounding off the field.
Charlotte Ritchie is on the shortlist for Outstanding Comedy Actress, with Matthew Baynton facing off with Sex Education’s Asa and the likes of Greg Davies The Cleaner) and Lee Mack (Not Going Out) in the actor category.
Charlotte and Matthew’s co-star Lolly Adefope is in the running for Outstanding Supporting Role, with Motherland’s Diane Morgan rounding off the nominees.
