Little Mix member Jade Thirwall has shared that she has ‘no intentions’ to go anywhere as she was asked to look to the future.

The 28-year-old also stated firmly that she is ‘definitely not ready to give it all up anytime soon’, as she reflected on the possibility of settling down.

Speaking to Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1, she confirmed that she felt the band ‘will still be around’ in 10 years’ time.

She continued: ‘We’re always going to have each other. I think when you’ve got that sort of bond… I’ve spent my whole adult life with the girls and that’ll probably never, ever change, no matter what happens.

Sharing that she’d like ‘to see more girl bands come through’ who she can help and ‘share the spotlight with’, the star then opened up about her personal life.

‘Maybe I’ll settle down. I haven’t got any intentions here,’ she added. ‘I like traveling around too much.’

Revealing that her and boyfriend Jordan Stephens have just got a dog, she said: ‘I do love that more simple, lovely life. You get up every day, you walk the dogs, and you go out to the beach. And I love that, but I’m definitely not ready to give it all up anytime soon.’

The band’s Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock both had babies this year, with Perrie welcoming son Axel with her partner, Liverpool footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Leigh-Anne giving birth to twins with partner Andre Gray, also a footballer for Queens Park Rangers.

The trio recently released new album Between Us to mark the 10-year anniversary of the band’s formation.

Updating Judd on Perrie and Leigh-Anne, Jade revealed: ‘They’re actually raring to get back as well to be honest, we message every day, call each other just about every day. And I think they’re getting major FOMO seeing me out and about doing bits.’

The band were a foursome until Jesy Nelson announced her exit in December last year, saying the high-profile role had ‘taken a toll’ on her mental health.

Formed on The X Factor in 2011, they became the first group to win the competition and earlier this year made history as the first female group to win the best British group gong at the Brit Awards.

Between Us features their biggest hits such as Wings, Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex, as well as new songs, which Jade revealed made things ‘a little bit easier’.

The singer also admitted that the group were ‘constantly on edge that we were going to get dropped’ during the Black Magic era after having achieved early success.

She explained: ‘Because now you’ve got to maintain that or get better. And if you don’t, you’re weirdly seen as a failure in the public eye.’

Little Mix are due to embark on their Confetti Tour in 2022.
