It looks like Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip has come to an end, after Gino D’Acampo shared the news of the ITV show’s cancellation on social media.

The chef and presenter, who hosts the programme with Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix, announced that they will not be filming more episodes.

He also told fans that he was working on a new project with Fred – and couldn’t resist taking a cheeky dig at co-star Gordon while he was at it.

Posting a picture of him and Fred sleeping, Gino wrote: ‘Breaking News… Unfortunately we will no longer be filming #GordonGinoandFred mainly because @gordongram is too busy working on his hair highlights in USA.

‘But don’t worry guys, @fred_sirieix and I have a plan #JustinGinoandFred Coming soon…….GDx.’

The series sees the friends and culinary experts travel together and, mostly, get on each other’s nerves for our entertainment while exploring different cultures and cuisines.

The show first arrived in 2018, with the most recent iteration Gordon Gino & Fred Go Greek arriving back in September.

The TV personalities travel from Greece’s largest island Crete, to Mykonos and Santorini – where they spend time in a mud bath in volcanic hot springs – during the series which was shortened as a result of the Covid outbreak.

The most recent series proved an eventful one to say the least, featuring unexpected genitalia theories, Gino mistaking the Greek islands for the home of the pyramids, and even a naked BBQ.

Fred said about the recent series: ‘It was just so nice to be out again with Gordon and Gino, back on the road together, especially after the unprecedented times and the pandemic.

‘I’ve been to Greece a couple of times before with friends and family, but the things I do with Gordon and Gino – I cannot do with anybody else I know!’

Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip is available to stream on ITV Hub.
