Travis Scott has asked for the family members of Astroworld victims to contact him directly so he can share his condolences after the fatal tragedy.

So far, nine people have died following the deadly crowd crush on Friday, while a nine-year-old has been placed in a medically induced coma.

Around 300 attendees were treated for injuries in Houston, Texas after a surge left fans compressed and unable to breathe during the rapper’s annual music event.

Following the 30-year-old rapper’s pledge to pay for the funerals of those who died, his team issued a statement providing details of how to contact the hitmaker.

The statement shared with Metro.co.uk read: ‘Over the last week, Travis Scott and his team have been actively exploring routes of connection with each and every family affected by the tragedy through the appropriate liaisons.

‘He is distraught by the situation and desperately wishes to share his condolences and provide aid to them as soon as possible, but wants to remain respectful of each family’s wishes on how they’d best like to be connected.’

It concluded: ‘To those families who would like to reach out directly to his team, please send an email to the below address where we will have a team on hand to assist – AW21information@gmail.com’.

The update comes after Scott and his Cactus Jack Foundation have also teamed up with BetterHelp, an online portal providing mental health support, to offer free one-on-one virtual therapy sessions for anyone affected by the tragedy.

The Sicko Mode rapper will also work with the National Alliance of Mental Illness, Mental Health America National and MHA of Greater Houston for those in need of mental health services.

ScoreMore Shows, which helped produce the festival alongside Live Nation, have also separately pledged to provide mental health counseling and will establish a fund to help with medical costs from the incident.

Scott, Live Nation and other organizers of Astroworld festival are currently dealing with mounting civil litigation with 46 lawsuits filed against them to date following the tragic incident.

The TKN rapper, who is expecting his second child with Kylie Jenner, shared a statement of his sorrow about the tragedy on Saturday.

Scott has stated that organizers will issue full refunds to all who attended the festival.
