Meta-owned-Instagram has updated its app and allowed access to its users to upload photos and videos using the desktop browser. Previously, users were only allowed to scroll through the feed, send messages and watch stories.
Now that users can post photos and videos, it has become easier for creators to share their content captured by professional cameras so as to retain the quality of it. However, people still cannot post a 24-hr story through the desktop. It is predicted that the company will soon announce its launch in the next update.
This is how you can share an Instagram post using desktop browser,
First things first, visit instagram.com in a fresh tab, and click the first link that appears.
Login to your Instagram account using your credentials, or simply link it with your Facebook account.
Now go to ‘+’ icon, located next to the direct message option.
After you select the icon, go to ’Select from Computer’ option or simply drag the file if you want.
Next, choose the file you want to upload by clicking ‘Open’.
The new update has made it easier for those using their computers to access their Instagram accounts. Users can simply apply filters or add captions before uploading their posts and tap ‘Share’ after the final changes have been made.
