Caitlyn Jenner has spilled the beans on where she stands with ex Kris Jenner, admitting they’re not as close as she’d like.
The I Am Cait star, 72, made the revelation during Monday night’s episode of Big Brother VIP.
Getting emotional about her now strained relationship with her ex wife, Caitlyn suggested that things could be better.
‘I would say from my standpoint, our relationship is not as good as it should be,’ she shared with her housemates.
‘I don’t have any hard feelings towards her. I wish it was closer, but it’s not.’
Following her confession, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was asked if she believes her ex has any ‘misgivings’ about her, to which Caitlyn replied, ‘I think that is an understatement.’
‘Our relationship is okay. I think it could be better just because of the kids,’ said the former athlete, who shares daughters Kendall, 26 and Kylie, 24, with the momager.
‘It’s always the way when you have that. It’s all about how the mother and father, how they get along together. Is it easy? Is it good? Do they see each other? Is there any tension?’
Caitlyn and Kris ended their relationship after 22 years together, in 2013.
Kris, 66, opened up about the status of their bond in a conversation with WSJ Magazine for The One earlier this year, describing things as ‘respectful’.
‘She’s the father of two of my kids, and so that speaks volumes.’
Kris also spoke candidly about the impact of Caitlyn‘s transition and journey with her gender on their family.
The star said Caitlyn’s coming out was ‘a shock’ and something everyone had to ‘wrap their heads around,’ since she wanted to navigate the situation as best she could for her kids.
‘I wanted to be the best parent I could be and do the right thing and I didn’t always know what that meant in that situation,’ she said.
Elsewhere on Big Brother VIP, Caitlyn opened up about coming out as transgender and beginning a new chapter in her life.
She said it was something she ‘struggled with for a long time’ but she now has ‘peace in her soul.’
Meanwhile, Kris. and the rest of the Kardashian clan are filming a new reality show, which will premiere in 2022.
