The first dance at a wedding is usually memorable for any couple. However, for these newlyweds in the United States, their special moment ended with a comical climax: they collapsed to the ground, leaving everyone in splits, including the bride and groom.

Marie Blanchard and her husband David Bradley married at Oheka Castle in Long Island in a magnificent wedding. The bride attempted to strike a dramatic stance leaning backward as the couple walked to the floor for their first dance, waltzing in front of bridesmaids and guests.

However, she lost her balance and fell down due to her heavy, expensive gown and footwear. It wasn’t just her, either. Her spouse, who was wrapped in the arms of a ballroom dancer, fell beside her.

Though it may have been uncomfortable for some, sharing the incident on social media and finding a silver lining in the situation.

“Falling in love,” she captioned the post on Instagram.

“Not exactly the finale I had in mind. Not sure he understood the assignment!”

“Not sure I cared,” she added.

The bride added that she was grateful that her wishes had finally come true after the wedding had been “postponed 3 times due to Covid before we could say I do to the world”.
