Former Indian medium-fast bowler, Ajit Agarkar believes that Pakistan will not break the trend of losing World Cup matches against India.

Ajit said that in past India has the upper hand over Pakistan in World Cups and their sublime form of late will be too much for Pakistan to handle.

India and Pakistan will go head to head on 24 October at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This will be their first encounter since the 2019 ODI World Cup. In the last World Cup India beat Pakistan by six wickets and continued their winning streak against Pakistan in World Cups.

Ajit believes that this time also Pakistan will not change the history as India have a stronger side as compared to Pakistan and have they have been performing very well over the past few years.

Ajit Agarkar said, “The stakes are always high when India and Pakistan play together but going by India’s current form and taking the stats into consideration, I don’t think Pakistan will pose that much of a challenge. Having said that, I don’t think we should take our neighbours lightly because cricket is a funny game, and things can change at any moment, especially in the T20 format,”

However, Beating India in the T20s is not hard for Pakistan, as back in the 2007 T20 World Cup Pakistan have tied the match against India.
